Moroccan-born Sofia Pernas moved to California when she was 5 years old. She was raised in Orange County. Her biggest break was in 2015 when she graduated with a degree from University of California San Diego. Pernas played small roles on NCIS and Leverage. Then she landed the role as Marisa on The Young and the Restless. The actress who left the soap in 2016 got the part as Catalina who is a regular character in Jane the Virgin. The model who speaks four languages has since appeared on The Brave as Hannah Rivera, The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. The role she played as Lexi Vaziri was on Blood & Treasure between the years of 2019 and 2020. Us Weekly reported in May 2020 that Pernas was dating Justin Hartley from The Young and the Restless. The relationship began following Chrishell Stause, the This Is Us actress split in November of 2018. Pernas Hartley got married in secret with Pernas on May 20, 2021.
