Born in Morocco, Sofia Pernas moved to California when she was just 5 years old. She was raised living in Orange County. Her big break occurred in the year 2015 when she graduated with an education from the University of California San Diego. Pernas had a few guest appearances on NCIS and Leverage after which she was offered the role as Marisa in The Young and the Restless. After a break from The soap opera she was offered a part as Catalina on Jane the Virgin. She is a model who speaks four languages, has appeared on The Brave as Hannah Rivera, The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. The actress played Lexi Vaziri on Blood & Treasure from 2019 through 2020. Us Weekly revealed in May of 2020 that Pernas has been dating Justin Hartley, her The Young and the Restless co-star. The star of This is Us Pernas first began dating Justin Hartley in the wake of her breakup with Chrishell Stase, whom was married to since the beginning of November in 2019.
