Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights advocate, writer as well as a model and actress. The actress has won praise by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969), and The Getaway, (1972). When she was in New York, she was born and brought up in an artistic family. The first job she had was an assistant to photographers. She then moved on to modeling and acting. She was noticed in her first two movies and was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Most Popular Newcomer. MacGraw quickly became famous after the 1970 hit film Love Story. She was considered for nomination to the Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. With just three releases MacGraw was named the top female box-office start around the globe. The Grauman's Chinese Theater signed her name with handprints, foot prints and handprints in 1972. Some of the films she's been in are The Getaway Convoy Players as in the mini-series on TV The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography by her, was released. MacGraw was divorced three times.
